Description:
Along a grey hallway of Escola Massana (paid public arts institution), a line of consecutive small candels lits the way to 3 consecutive windows. It's dark outside.
In front of each of the windows is a group of candles still to be lit, organized by some logic. Are they words?
Resting between the lit and the unlit candles is a group of lighters. A wite short person with a green and black mullet, dressing only a black binder, black shorts and a white sheat as a vest (shoeless), invites the people present to follow the line. Each person picks a lighter and at the same time each of them light up a small group of candles. Some people observing from the floor above not only see the action bellow, inside the building, but also the reflection of the lit candles on the windows. All 350 candles are lit. Three words can be read on the reflection, from the inside: "colonial patriarchal heritage".
The person with the white vest walks barefoot along the windows, to the exit door of the bulding. The group follows to the outside and stand in the public square, facing the Escola massana building windows, and giving their back to the soon to be evicted Antiga Massana ocupied socio-cultural building.
The person takes the white vest, unfolds it and hangs the white sheet onto the the outside of the windows between the lit candles and the exit door.
The same person takes a tranparent jar full a thick red liquid from the inside of their shorts, in front of the genital area. Opens it and, letter by letter, writes something on the sheet:
"People cannot make themselves bleed everymonth.
But Genocidal Politics can."
The blood leaves some traces on the window glass behind the sheet and drops rest on the public floor.
